September 24 & 25, Jeremias Massera & Mariela Barufaldi coming from Tango Axis in Miami for a full weekend of performances, lessons and milongas. Friday, Jeremias & Mariela will be available to book private lessons (must arrange in advance). Friday 8:30 PM the Latino Resource Center in Jackson will be hosting their annual fundraising gala featuring Argentine food & wine and a performance by Jeremias & Mariela. Saturday from 2:00 PM-5:15 PM there will be two lessons/practica for Intermediate to Advanced level students at the Center for the Arts. Saturday night from 7:30- 8:45pm there will be a Beginner to Intermediate level practica followed by an all-level milonga from 8:45 - 10:30pm. Cost for the afternoon workshop is $25 single / $40 couple. Cost for the evening event is $20/per person for both the practica & milonga or $10/per person if they just want to attend the milonga portion.
Discounted rooms at the Lexington Trapper Inn and Suites have been arranged for Thurs, Friday & Saturday evening (with no minimum night stay requirement). The Center for the Arts is within walking distance of the hotel so transportation is not necessary.
